Erica graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a BA degree in Philosophy from the University of California at Los Angeles in 2006.  She earned her JD degree from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2009 and was admitted to the California State Bar in the same year.

While in law school, she was a member of the Berkeley Journal of Employment and Labor Law and the California Asylum Representation Clinic.  She also worked for the National Senior Citizens Law Center, the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit’s Office of General Counsel, California Rural Legal Assistance and a law firm which specialized in the representation of automobile dealers and manufacturers.

Erica, a lifelong resident of San Luis Obispo County, is an accomplished runner and has competed in numerous marathons.
